Humanity at the crossroads of an Epochal era change

Human consciousness at individual and collective levels has become a battlefield between the forces of darkness and light. At this moment, the hellish hordes appear to have overpowered the legions of Light and the global human scene is indeed dismal – as if human consciousness were vicious at its very core and is beyond redemption. An unwavering faith in the ultimate triumph of Truth over falsehood on the part of those few who believe and consciously aspire for a glorious culmination and upliftment of present ego-driven, divisive human consciousness into an illumined realm of effulgent Light is the dire need of the hour.

It is true that there is a worldwide upsurge of a reckless and wanton defiance and trampling upon of all ennobling values of perennial wisdom; and human psyche has become the playground of all the degrading, perverting and debasing impulses – crass selfishness, unbridled sensual indulgence, violence, terrorism and internecine conflicts amongst social / religious / racial groups. Man’s wanton acts of nature’s harmonies and rhythms have given rise to retaliatory manifestations of nature’s wrath in the form of natural calamities e.g. intercontinental Tsunami waves; Katrina and other hurricanes and most recently the horrifying destructive earthquake in Jammu & Kashmir – cutting across man-made divisive demarcations. Still we have to keep our faith alive and unwavering in the ultimate victory of Good over Evil.

Sages and seers of yore as well as of modern times have envisioned the advent of golden era of unity, harmony, understanding and love for humanity during the early years of 21st century. Some have even said that the ushering in of the new era will be distinctly visible at the beginning of the second decade of this century – i.e. from the year 2011–12 – which happens to be the birth centenary year of our Gurudev Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya; who himself prophesied and worked for (and continues working for from the invisible realms) the descent of the unitive Pragya Chetana (Illumined Intelligence) in human consciousness. He has bequeathed to us, the Gayatri Pariwar Parijans, the fulfillment of this vision and mission. Let each one of us cleanse our inner beings and open ourselves to become torchbearers and willing instruments of this redeeming and transforming super-consciousness, which has become an active and integral part of the Earth Consciousness.

Sri Aurobindo, the seer and sage par excellence, has called this Pragya Chetana as super mind and has affirmed that advent of the supramental age is imminent. He has called the transition period as the Hour of God and has described it thus in his illumined words:
“There are moments when Spirit moves amongst men and the Breath of the Lord is abroad upon the waters of our being; there are others when it retires and men are left to act on the strength or weakness of their own egoism.

The first are periods when even a little effort produces great results and changes destiny; the second are spaces of time when much labour goes to making of a little result……..

In the Hour of God cleanse thy soul of all self- deceit and hypocrisy and vain self-flattering that thou mayst look straight into thy spirit and hear that which summons it…..”

Let all Gayatri Pariwar Parijans listen to the call of the Time-Spirit – the Hour of God – and be its pure and puissant instruments. Let the birth of New Year 2006 be the new birth of our souls into the Light of the Spirit.

The Mission will be greeting the birth of New Year with the Poornahuti of a grand Ashwamedh Yagya  (Dec. 29, 2005 to Jan.1, 2006) at Madurai – the holy pilgrimage center of Divine Mother Meenakshi. May it be the year of Hope, Healing and Harmony for whole of humanity.

Love-filled greetings to all parijans and readers of Akhand Jyoti.

- Dr. Pranav Pandya
