Awaken the Brahmin and Saint Dwelling within You -II - Amritvani

Friends,

I have devoted my life to the shdhnh of awakening the saint and Brahmin hidden in the inner self. I have lived the life of a true Brahmin (Brhhmaña – whose life is devoted to Brahm, i.e. to pure knowledge, auspiciousness and welfare of all beings). As a caring parent always wants to see his children happy, I too want to see you all happy. A parent gives toffees, toys and what not to the little ones, arranges for the education, clothes and other facilities for their progress as they grow. My gifts to you have been in the form of solving your worldly problems; you have never returned from here empty-handed, your prayers have been heard by the Almighty. This is the power of the tapa1 of a Brahmin.

Now that I will be observing higher-level spiritual experiment (shdhanh) in silence and will not meet anybody, you all might be worried as to who will listen to your worries, who will now help you in crossing the hurdles of life and bless you like an affectionate parent? Don’t despair. There is no need for you to loose hope. While adopting ascetic disciplines and altruistic life-style of a true Brahmin, I have also dedicated myself to the shdhanh1 of becoming a Saint. What makes one a saint? Wearing saffron cloth, shaving head, growing beard and chanting God’s name? No, nothing of this sort.  The real sign of sainthood is absolute peace of mind and a heart full of immense compassion and pure love for all beings. So how can my heart leave any of you in despair? No, it can’t. The pyhu2 of courage, sensitivity, love and care initiated by me will never dry. The ‘hospital’ the ‘sanatorium’3 is being run by me to cure the ills and vices of mankind and to provide shelter and support for fast recovery and strength. A fraction of my tapa has been preserved to continue these so long as there is need. It will continue distributing joy and hope and offering light to those seeking it.

I will not meet you in person but I can listen to your imploring hearts. Often your problems are worldly and your calls superficial. You can’t even concentrate on your prayers! You may write your problems and queries on a piece of paper and send it to me by post or leave it here in Shantikunj as per the guidance of the volunteers. Please don’t insist on meeting me.  I know you well. I have weighed the quality of your spiritual aspiration and dedication. You may dream of being a seeker of truth, or claim to have come here for spiritual guidance and shdhanh and what not? That is mostly your pretension or hallucination. Most of you come here for petty gains. You have no interest in God, nor in meditation or prayer. You come here mainly to roam around and to get all your wishes fulfilled by touching my feet. You can’t chant God’s name or utter the devotional prayers even for half an hour. You can’t sacrifice your selfish interests. How will you devote your life for Divine mission? How do you then claim to be my followers? Don’t try to delude any one. Don’t waste your money and time in traveling upto here.  Don’t try to waste my time. You better send your ‘wish list’ or your ‘problems’ in a letter. You will not be disappointed. I have always wanted to see every one smiling. I can happily bear the burden of your problems; to me it’s like a father bending himself on all fours to give ‘horse ride’ to the kids while playing with them to make a crying child grin with joy.

But I want to give you bigger, precious gifts. For that you will have to mature. If any of you really wants to receive my guidance in difficult moments of tapa or for sincere endeavors of marching on the path of self-transformation, you will have to cultivate sensitivity within you. You will have to understand that my silence will be a more powerful medium for transmitting my message.  You will have to activate the receiver, the sensor in your mind and heart to capture the signals (messages) of my para and pashyanti vanis (spiritually refined inner voice, soul-voice).  If you could listen to this voice, you will awaken, your inner force and divine sentiments will rise.  My Guru communicates with me in this voice. I also want to talk to you in this voice.

Spiritual force of my voice will augment manifold with observance of absolute silence. This is yet another ascetic endeavor of becoming a Brahmin. More of my energy will now be used intensely for the welfare of the agonized, the sufferers, and the helpless. If it has been 50% so far, now it will be 100%; while I will also continue carrying out the reformative and reconstructive work of the Yug Nirman Mission. I have tried to sacrifice my life for altruistic service like a Saint.  This endeavor is being intensified now.  This combination of ascetic disciplines and tapa of a Brahmin and self-less service with unbounded compassion of a Saint is what leads to miraculous achievements. This is the power of being a Brahmin and a Saint.

You want to know the power of a true Brahmin and Saint? Don’t you see the miraculous expansion of this noble mission of Yug Nirman, Gayatri Pariwar? More than five million have got associated with it in the initial phase itself. It will continue to expand with greater momentum, even when I leave this physical body. There is no limit of time and space for this spiritual power. You may assess my life – may see what I used for myself or my family and for the entire human society. You will find that there was nothing for self or family. During these last few years of my (physical) life, I want to illuminate the Brahmin and Saint within me up to absolute intensity to set an example for you all and for the world to follow. This is essential to fulfill the major task ahead, viz., illumination of people’s thoughts; uplifting of mankind.

My dears, your selves and your families are part of the large family of mankind. Do you think this precious life, the abundance of resources of mind, intellect and inner strength are bestowed only for eating and feeding the spouse and children and for fulfilling selfish cravings? Don’t you, as a human beings, as a blessed children of your Guru, have any duties towards the very foundation on which the future of the world, of mankind (and hence yours and your family’s future too) stands?  Your mentor (Guru) lived for the service of the world and triggered the waves of change in the subtle world. He wants to gift you the honor to usher forward and let this change materialize in this physical world. Why don’t you realize your potentials and gear up to manifest them?

Your soul has the power of Hanuman, the spark of Vivekananda and the devotion of Raidas. You have so far been ignorant about it and have ignored the calls and opportunities. I want to give a ‘kick’ to the ‘football’ of your dormant powers to place it high in the sky of sparkling glory. But you have made it so heavy! Every cell of your body seems to have become heavy and you just can’t move ahead with the tons of load of your lethargy. You can’t lift your hands or move forward your feet. The chains of prejudices, attachments and ignorance have ‘arrested’ your mind so tightly that it can’t think of flying up to see the new light. Then how would I lift you up?

First of all I have to set the clock right. Let me tell you that you will not gain anything beyond petty joys if you remain stuck in the mechanical sacraments of worshiping the deities or symbols of God. You want to attain great powers by putting flowers on His idols or pictures, offering some agarbatti and sweets in front of it and turning the beads of the rosary with haphazard chanting of some mantras? If this is what you regard as devotion, then your devotion is fake. I would condemn such worship and such devotion, if you don’t adopt the teachings behind the rituals and don’t attempt to purify your thoughts, restrain your cravings and discipline your conduct. You cannot climb the ladder of spiritual progress without taking even the first step. This way you would make a mockery of religion, divine values and spirituality.

Look at what happens if you don’t introspect and improve your own attitude. You remain engulfed in ego and jealously even while transacting the responsibilities of the mission of your Guru. I keep receiving letters and messages from some branches of Gayatri Pariwar. Some of you as trustees of Shakti Peethas pull each others’ legs, some are busy making their name, some complain of being neglected by the seniors. These reflect your immaturity, hypocrisy, ignorance and vicious tendencies.  You are nowhere close to spirituality. Don’t give a bad name to the Mission. Stop all this. Better close down the Shakti Peethas and stop working for the Mission.

A Guru, a spiritual mentor, cannot leave the disciples stuck up in the mire of selfish attachments and cravings, or lost in the thick smog of ignorance. I am also going to pull you up by first cutting the manacles of your mind. This will be a part of my spiritual experiment of multiplying and expanding my spiritual powers and purifying the subtle world. The elevated ones among you will nurture the fountainhead of happiness and accelerate the accomplishment of the divine project of a bright future for all.

If you aspire for elevation, spiritual progress and enlightenment, first learn and adopt the principles of spirituality. Don’t think that since I, your guru, have attained great powers by chanting 24 lacs of Gayatrai Mantra 24 times, therefore you should also devote all your energy and time in chanting of the mantras. I can list several persons who have completed 24 lacs chanting but are devoid of spiritual light. Chanting of the mantra alone will not shower miracles. To attain its supernormal benefits, you will have to first become a Brahmin by adopting austerity, ascetic disciplines and devotion to pure knowledge; you will have to inculcate the karuñh4 of a Saint. It is said that Brahmin earns (the siddhis, paranormal potentials) and Saint distributes (the benefits of siddhis) for selfless service of all beings. Both the Brahmin and the Saint are hidden in you.

How many of those who know Hanuman Chalisa or other devotional prayers by heart and keep chanting it day and night have done any thing for the society? Then who has done? Age after age, the Brahmins (ascetic sages) and Saints have worked for the welfare of mankind; the good indwelling in the world is because of their sacrifices and services in different parts of the world. It is the asceticism, purity, sacrifice and devotion for dissemination of pure knowledge adopted by a Brahmin; and generosity, compassion and self-less service rendered by a Saint that generate spiritual powers and illumine the torch of spirituality in this world.

You can’t encash a cheque unless you have a substantial balance in your bank account.  That you do the japa of Gayatri Mantra hundred times a day or thousand times per day is immaterial – because there won’t be any significant effect unless you tune up your body and mind. Your spiritual progress will begin only with initiation of your sincere endeavors of tapa for becoming a Brahmin and adoption of karuñh for becoming a Saint. I had dedicated my worldly resources, time, and japa-anuÌÚhhns for this purpose; all my tapa and shdhanh was aimed at it.  Try to follow it at least in some way. Donate a fraction of your time and efforts to spread my thoughts – the thoughts that will inspire people to walk on the righteous path.

You don’t have to wait for others. Learn to walk alone on the path shown by your Guru. The spark in my soul is eager to illuminate every heart, every mind. I want you to spread it everywhere. Mission of transforming an era won’t materialize without devout endeavors. Our angelic Rishis had squeezed out their blood, collected it in a pot from which Goddess Sita had emerged. This scriptural narration illustrates the grandeur of sacrifices essential for destroying the devil and reviving the divine. Can you squeeze out your energy and the piles of accumulated resources for some good cause?

You want to contribute to the mission by becoming a ‘head’ and a ‘leader’? You want to sit on a dais and deliver speeches!  Who are you ‘Sir’? What have you done for others? Want to become a hero of the masses like Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Lal Bahdur Shastri? You know they had devoted every moment of their life for the nation. On Gandhiji’s advice they even drew a cart full of Khadi cloth on the roads and propagated the use of Khadi by door-to-door campaign. You also begin by taking the books of our mission to people – if not a cart, use your shoulder bags as ‘moving libraries’.  If you can’t do even this much, don’t associate yourself with this mission. There is no need of people like you, who do not want to rise above the inferior levels of ego, lust and selfish attachments.

Do something to infuse life in the dying Indian culture, the culture of enlightened humanity, the culture of divine values. Squeeze out and donate your aspirations, time, energy, thought-power, talent, money and other resources for this noble purpose. The Almighty has already sketched the plan of its revival. The fire of tapa of Brahmins and Saints will anyway spark off its revival. If you remain idle, captured in your cravings, ego and prejudices, it might char you into ashes. Listen to the alarming call. Wake up, rise and see the light of the dawn on the horizon.  Turn your back to the mirage of ‘awakening the sixth sense by chanting His name’.  Stop cheating yourself and ‘bargaining’ with your imaginary ‘god’ by ‘rituals of worship’. There is no place of hypocrisy or illusion in spirituality. You cannot know even the A, B, C of spirituality without doing tapa and shdhanh.  You only know bending your head in the shrines and loud chanting of His name (be that in the form of Hanuman ji, Santoshi Mata or Gayatri Mata or any other manifestation of God) with a long list of wishes at the back of your mind. May be, you wear saffron, white or yellow cloth as a mark of your religiosity and austerity and turn the beads of rosary with closed eyes and chanting of a mantra on your lips.  So what?  This is immaterial. You may continue doing all this but more important is to do His work – which begins with chiseling of your own conduct and service of mankind.

Time and again, I have reminded you, warned you and taught you what you should do. My divine Guru wants me to inspire the Brahmin and the Saint sitting within each one you. That is what I have been trying and continue trying to do. May you all awaken the Brahmin and the Saint in you and be blessed by divine light and bliss.

|| OM SHANTI ||
