1.Guru Poornima Parva
This Parva was celebrated sswith usual enthusiasm and devotion in all the Shaktipeeths / Pragya Sansthans / Pragya Mandals of Gayatri Pariwar across the globe. The main function was organized at Shantikunj, Haridwar. One day prior to this Parva, 24 –Hr Akhand Japa was organized. On Guru Poornima, Dr Pranav Pandya and Shail Jiji, on behalf of All World Gayatri Pariwar, performed Pujan of Poojya Gurudev and Vandniya Mataji. A large number of parijans from all over the country had come to Shantikunj to pay homage to their spiritual master on this festival. In her address to the gathering, Jiji said, ‘Guru is the representative of God and his guidance uplifts an ordinary person to the level of great man. Guru Poornima is the day of paying one’s respect to Gurudev and imbibing his discipline in one’s life.’ Dr Pranav Pandya said – ‘Shallow devotion is of no use. It has to be translated into an activity of social welfare.’ About 4000 parijans were initiated into Deeksha that day.
2. Gurudev’s enlightening literature now available in many languages:
The prime objective of Gurudev’s birth centenary celebrations is to spread the life transforming messages contained in Poojya Gurudev’s literature across the globe. In this connection, many of his books have been translated in different languages including English. A number of audio CDs, MP-3 CDs and DVDs has also been released.
3.17th Gyan Deeksha Samaroh
The initiation ceremony for the newly admitted students of DSVV, Haridwar was held on 4th July, 2010. In his address on this occasion, Chancellor of the university Dr Pranav Pandya expressed deep concern over the marketing of education in our country. He stressed the need for integration of shiksha and vidya so that apart from skill-based education, the aspirants are trained in the art of living. This program was conducted in the august presence of U.G.C. team comprising of Prof. Vachaspati Upadhyay - Vice Chancellor, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit Vidya peeth, New Delhi, Prof. Pankaj Chande – Vice Chancellor, Kavi Guru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Dr I. B. Vasav Reddy - Director, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Dr. K. P. Singh, Prof. Rai, Prof. Kapur, Prof. Lata Gehrola, etc. 448 students have been enrolled in different programs in this semester.
4. A grand Convention of Parijans held at Gayatri Consciousness Center at Piscataway:
On the auspicious occasion of Gayatri Jayanti / Ganga Dussera, a grand convention of Gayatri Pariwar Parijans was organized at Gayatri Consciousness Center, Piscataway. About 1500 parijans from New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, etc participated in it. In his video message, revered Dr Pranav Pandya gave a clarion call to the volunteers of Gayatri Pariwar to spread the life transforming thoughts of Poojya Gurudev across the globe.
There is no greater virtue than to inspire someone to righteous action.
