There is no reason why an illusion prevails in common people that path of truth and honesty leads to loss and misery only! Probably, it is due to the fact they see in daily life that dishonest people are amassing huge fortunes in a short time by hook or by crook. Seeing others’ fast growing wealth, they also desire to acquire the same status by any means – fair or foul. They are impressed by the influential arrogance and lavish life styles of the rich. But they forget that wealth acquired through fraud and corruption is fragile like a wall of sand, collapsible by the slightest breeze of air. And, such pompous glory is only imaginary; people surely praise the rich on face, just to achieve their own selfish gains, but from inside, they do not have any real respect for rich persons who have amassed their wealth by foul means.

On the contrary, a person working hard with honesty and leading a simple life of high morals and principles may be progressing slowly, but that progress is firm-rooted and sound and his fame is long lasting.
